Extracurricular Opportunities

Leadership

Students who show an aptitude for helping others may be invited to join STAR (Support Team Always Ready) and assist the instructors. 

​STAR students may be promoted to Assistant Instructor, and take on more responsibilities. Assistant Instructors may be hired as full-time or part-time Instructors.

Both STAR and Instructors attend a monthly leadership meeting.

Demonstration

 Exceptionally talented or well-deserving students may be invited to join our demo team.

​The Dragons are an elite force martial artists who perform and compete all around New York. The Dragons march in the Hyde Park parades, perform at fairs and events, and compete at the North East Open's demo team competition.

Competition

We participate in several tournaments year-round. Most often we attend several Pan-Am Federation sanctioned competitions, the Hudson Valley Regionals, and tournaments within the 518 Martial Arts circuit.
